The part most quotes leave out

A two-host cluster with no shared storage is not high availability, and a cluster sized so that one host running alone is at ninety percent capacity will fall over the moment it has to. Sizing for the failure case rather than the happy case costs a little more up front and is the entire reason to virtualize.
